In short
A medieval party band from Erlangen that turned professional. For fifteen years it was comedy — innuendo, hurdy-gurdy, Renaissance-fair bookings — and then a 2019 signing to Napalm Records swapped the punchlines for power metal production without dropping the bagpipes. Memento Mori and Fegefeuer both entered the German album chart at number one.
Where it sits
Feuerschwanz formed in 2004 in Germany. This tree dates Folk metal from 1993, eleven years earlier. Six records here, 2018 to 2025.
